Bath - Weston Super Mare-Ashurst

I intend to keep a blog about Dorset, parts not often visited, and also the well visited, and a few pubs i should imagine.
Bank holiday weekend has past without rain very unusual for the UK, visited Studland village, Old Harry rocks and Ballard Down.
In my view Dorset is one of the best keep secrets in the UK.
Sara and myself visited the beautiful norman church in Studland, it's called St Nicholas, i found the grave of a sergeant that was at the battle of Waterloo amazing.
Its not just the stunning coastline, but also the the countryside, the heathland and the forest all surrounded by Poole Harbour, it really has to be seen.
Just the one pub in Studland the Bankes Arms, a tad busy on such a sunny bank holiday Sunday.
My son Stuart is halfway through his basic training with the 5th Rifles of the British Army, he is dragging me from the chain ferry at Sandbanks through Corfe Castle to Wareham, if i survive i will blog it. Well thats next Tuesday.

First ever blog
First time i have had ago at this, let see how i get on.
26th May from somewhere in deepest darkest Dorset.
Weather has been really great for this time of the year in the UK, the bank holiday weekend is over, no rain in this part of the world, my self and Sara had a great walk round Studland, Ballard Down and old Harry rocks, i really do believe this is the most beautiful part of England, its not just the stunning coastline its the country-side and of course the people, and not to mention the pubs.
Strange i have lived and worked in Dorset for about eight years now, well i work in Hampshire just over the boarder most of the time, and i still never get bored with exploring were i am so lucky to live, loads of little villages hidden away almost hiding from visitors.
Well first crack at this and i think i am starting to ramble. So until next time
